Alexandrite is a very beautiful gem with wonderful characteristics.

In this article we will see why this gem is so wonderful. So, let’s start!

Alexandrite Is a variety of mineral chrysoberyl. Which is a very rare gem in itself, it is also a part of the Oxide minerals family. Formulas for Alexandrite would be aluminum2, Beryllium, oxygen4 or BeAl₂O₄. The gem is also relatively rare for your prospective. It is rarer than diamond, which affects the price of the gemstone since its discovery only got rarer and rarer. There are more mines but their supply of the high Quality gems are only getting rarer, which in turn affects the price. The price for the single stone could vary up to $500—$70000. If you want to go mining it is found in Russia, Sri Lanka, Brazil, Zimbabwe, and Myanmar .Yet the stones are different from place to place. So first we are going to visit Brazil. There generally bluish-green to blue and green in daylight,  they can have a yellowish hue in daylight that is less visible in finder  stones .Next on our list is African alexandrites .Under the average light  African alexandrites appear  reddish purple . Last on my list is Indian alexandrites, significant for transparency and vibrant blue-green in daylight .This is why this gem is so valuable. This article should  help you understand alexandrites.
