What You Missed In The Spider-Man: No Way Home Trailer

Lukas Fitzgerald, Journalist

With the Spiderman 3 trailer that was released last month, there’s a LOT to talk about, so let’s get into it.

This was without a doubt, the MOST anticipated trailer of all time. In total, this trailer had a whopping 355.5 million views within the 24 hours it was released. That is the world record for the most viewed trailer in a day.

So without further ado, the top five things you’re missing in the Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer:

  1. In the trailer, you can see Peter and his friends walking to the courthouse. If you look closely behind MJ’s shoulder you can see a blonde Flash Thompson. This is interesting because, in previous movies, he hated Peter Parker, but he is obsessed with Spiderman, which was funny because Peter Parker IS Spiderman. Now, we see that we can assume that Flash sides with Peter even if the whole world does not.

  1. If you skip to 1 min 15 seconds in the trailer, you can see a scene in which Peter runs through a deli, but if you look closely, you can see a suit which we have never seen before. I think it is a tradition that in every MCU Spiderman movie, Peter gets a new suit added to his collection of outfits. So when you’re watching this in theaters on December 17, think back to this small detail.

  1. If you look at the cast list for this movie, it clearly has some gaps, which we can hope/assume that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield will fill them. But one interesting cast member is Jamie Foxx. He is returning to reprise his role as Electro. We don’t directly see him in the trailer, but many trailers have spoilers in the cast list.

  1. (SPOILERS AHEAD) O.K, this isn’t in THIS trailer, but the post-credit scene in “Venom Let There Be Carnage”. We can notice Eddie Brock seeing Peter Parker’s identity revealed on T.V. Venom comes out and licks the T.V. saying “Lunch”.

  1. If you skip to 2 mins 27 seconds, you can see Sandman, Electro, and in the bottom right, you can see Tobey Maguire’s black Venom suit. We can only hope that this is Tobey and not just Tom Holland’s Spider-Man acting for his own multiversal variants.

Please don’t spoil No Way Home if you have watched it before your friends. Like any good trailer or movie, there are always hidden and fun “easter eggs” hidden within. Finding them can unlock secrets, and juicy spoilers. So, I hope you enjoyed these tidbits about the trailer, and the MCU’s latest movie to the collection, Spider-Man: No Way Home.
