Leonel Messi is a professional soccer player that was born in 1987 in Rosario, Argentina. He plays for the national Argentina team and the Barcelona club team. He has received six Ballon’ d’Or rewards as well as the 2009 best player of the year and the 2019 best Fifa men’s player. He won a total of about 35 trophies with his team from winning the La Liga titles,  Copa del Rey titles, UEFA Champions Leagues titles, and more. He holds many records like most goals in a single season in a major European football league, most individual La Liga Player of the Month Awards, with seven, becoming the first player in the history of Spanish football to reach 500 wins and a lot more. He led Argentina into many world cups and Olympics and they won Gold in the 2008 Olympics. Messi was diagnosed with a growth hormone disorder, or GHD. It is often called idiopathic short stature, but there are problems that go beyond being shorter than average. The treatments were expensive, a $900 monthly expense that his modest family could not afford. River plate and Newell’s Old Boys, storied Argentinian clubs, passed on that expense despite the promise of a very young Messi. Messi was signed to Barcelona at only the age of 13 and he had to work very hard to make it to the team. Messi is considered the best Soccer player of all time and that is because of several reasons like winning the most Ballon’ d’Or rewards or scoring the most goals in several years and also doing impossible stuff on the field including hitting the ball at the perfect angle. Messi will undoubtedly go down as one of the best soccer players in history and he will definitely be a role model for many people.
