Do you ever wonder why certain things can’t function properly? For example, why can’t the ring finger stay up effortlessly when the other fingers are bent. Or why can’t some people think straight sometimes? Most of us experience these things in our daily lives.

The ring finger can’t function as the other fingers because its tendons are dependant on the middle finger to stay up while the rest of the fingers are bent. These tendons are connected so that when your middle finger is folded down, you cannot move your ring finger. The radial nerve connects with the thumb, index finger, and one side of the middle finger, while the ulnar nerve connects with the little finger, ring, and the other side of the middle finger. It makes the middle finger so crucial to the ring finger.

Another example of something that can’t function correctly could be your brain. Someone who has Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) may have problems focusing and staying on task. This person could be doing his/her homework, and his/her mind drifts off to something else; that’s a symptom of ADHD. ADHD could be obtained in many ways. One could study genetics, a brain disorder, or a brain injury.

Nothing is perfect, and some things can’t always function the way you want them to. There will always be challenges throughout life, but overcoming these challenges will make you more resilient. Love and accept who you are regardless of what you think you might be lacking. I hope you found this article interesting, and thank you for reading it!
