Later, in DiCaprio’s life, he and his mother had decided to move to another part of Los Angeles.

When he was two, he went on stage at a performance festival and danced. His older step-brother had earned $50,000 from acting and he was very fascinated by this. He began appearing in several commercials at age 14 for “Matchbox Cars” by Mattel, which he considered his first role.

At the beginning of Leonardo’s career, he had a lot of trouble finding an agent, therefore he was left jobless for a year and a half, and decided to quit acting. His father encouraged him not to quit, he needed all the money he could get because his mother was sick.
