Baking may seem like just a hobby full of junk food. And at times it is. However, there are multiple upsides for baking. First of all, you know what you are putting into the bowl and you know that you made something on your own. This gives you a nice feeling of accomplishment, and you know that you have used your time to make an enjoyable treat for yourself and others. 

Baking calms the mind. There has been a study showing that baking is like mindfulness or meditation. Just like meditation, baking requires your full attention. One slip-up and the whole bake is ruined. You will also need to be patient with mixing and while the oven is baking. Just like meditation, baking involves your complete focus. The dough needs a certain consistency, and there are ingredients to be divided.

Therapy may be expensive, but not at home. Baking is known to be therapeutic for stress, depression, and anxiety. It is the perfect thing to do to keep your mind off of stressful events. Many people enjoy baking because it relaxes the mind. All you need to do is follow instructions. It’s simple. 

There are many ways you can be creative in baking, You may come up with new types of pastries, cookies, cakes, etc.or find an easier way to be creative with baking, like, coming up with new flavor mixes as a signature recipe as you slowly learn tips and techniques.
