Halo Series:

Halo: Combat Evolved is a first-person shooter video game developed by Bungie and published by Microsoft Game Studios. It was released as a launch title for Microsoft’s Xbox video game console on November 15, 2001, and released on Windows and Mac OS X in 2003. The story takes place in the 26th century and follows the character, Master Chief. In the story, the UNSC, United Nations Space Command, battles the Covenant, a group of aliens who believe in ancient gods. Later, Master Chief discovers the Flood, a group of parasitic aliens. The game also introduces the Halos, devices designed to kill life in order to stop the flood.

Halo 2 is the sequel to the critically acclaimed Halo: Combat Evolved. It is once again a first-person shooter game and was developed by Bungie and Xbox Game Studios. Halo 2 was released on November 9, 2004.  The campaign once again follows Master Chief and the UNSC battling the covenant and the flood, along with attempting to destroy the Halos, devices designed to destroy all sentient life within range to starve the flood. Halo 2 also allows the player to play as an arbiter, a traitor to the elite.

Halo 3 is a 2007 first-person shooter game developed by Bungie for the Xbox 360 console. Halo 3 once again follows the conflict between the covenant, UNSC, and the flood. In this Halo master chief actually activates one of the Halos in order to destroy a flood infestation.

Halo: Reach is a 2010 first-person shooter developed by Bungie and published by Microsoft Game Studios, originally for the Xbox 360. The fifth installment in the Halo series and a direct prequel to Halo: Combat Evolved, Reach was released worldwide in September 2010. In reach, the player plays as the newest recruit to Noble team, which is a spartan, super-soldiers like Master Chief, fireteam. The antagonists are once again the covenant, although the flood do not make an appearance in the campaign.

Halo 4 is a first-person shooter developed by 343 Industries and published by Microsoft Studios for the Xbox 360 video game console. The fourth mainline installment and seventh overall in the Halo franchise, the game was released on November 6, 2012. Halo 4’s story follows an enhanced human supersoldier, Master Chief, and his artificial intelligence assistant, Cortana, as they encounter unknown threats while exploring an ancient civilization’s planet.

Halo 5: Guardians is a first-person shooter video game developed by 343 Industries and published by Microsoft Studios for the Xbox One. The fifth mainline entry and tenth overall in the Halo series, it was released worldwide on October 27, 2015, to the public.  The game’s plot follows two fireteams of human supersoldiers: Blue Team, led by Master Chief, and Fireteam Osiris, who were tasked with hunting down Blue Team, led by Spartan Locke. They were both in different teams because the Master Chief was following orders, so Spartan Locke tried to hunt down the master chief.
