Bowditch is very excited to launch the Scripps Spelling Bee Contest this year:

The Bowditch Spelling Bee champion will move on to participate in the district level championships and may even get a chance to go to Washington DC to participate in the Scripps National Spelling Bee Finals which will be telecast live on National TV. ee written rounds. Reg deadline is Mon, Oct 1st. The link to registration form is in the Buccaneer Bulletin that has been emailed to all parents and posted on schoolloop.

Bowditch Middle School launches the 2018 Scripps Spelling Bee Competition:

Eligible students who register for the spelling bee will participate in preliminary written rounds. Finalists from the written rounds will compete in the oral rounds. The winner of oral rounds will be chosen as the school-level spelling champion and will move on to the higher rounds of the Scripps National Spelling Bee. Please see below for more information and registration details.

Written Rounds

Date: Wednesday, October 24, 2018

Time: Choose a time slot in the online registration form

Location: Bowditch Middle School- exact location will be emailed to registered participants

Finalists from the written rounds will move forward to the oral rounds.

Oral Rounds

Thursday, November 29, 2018

Time: 5.30 pm -8 pm

 

Location: Bowditch Middle School Gym

Participants:

Any eligible Bowditch Middle School student in Grades 6, 7 and 8.

Registration Deadline:

The deadline for registration is Monday, October 1, 2018. We would be delighted if you could register as early as possible. Please register online here.

Study word study lists can be picked up from the school office starting Tuesday, September 18, 2018.

Contest structure & rules will be emailed to parents upon registration.
